For durability in commercial restrooms, the World Dryer L-973A SLIMdri® hand dryer's cover is brushed stainless steel and attached to a wall-mounting plate with tamper-resistant screws to defend against vandalism. Antimicrobial technology built into the surface slows bacterial growth that could create odors, stains, and deterioration. The dryer measures 11.43 inches wide by 3.90 inches deep by 10.70 inches high and is meant to be surface mounted to comply with ADA guidelines. One dryer can accommodate two sinks in restrooms with average foot traffic, while one dryer per sink is ideal in busy restrooms.
When a user's hands are placed beneath the World Dryer L-973A hand dryer, its infrared sensor detects the hands and automatically activates its brush-type motor to spin at 13,000 RPM to deliver 70-CFM airflow at a 140-MPH velocity, drying hands in 15 seconds. After 60 seconds, the unit stops blowing air to conserve energy, even if the user's hands remain beneath the air outlet. A heater control switch can be flipped on and off for user comfort; when the chrome wire heating element is used, it increases air temperature by 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
