The World Dryer L-972A SLIMdri® hand dryer's infrared sensor detects users' hands when they're placed beneath the air outlet. This mechanism automatically activates the thermally protected, universal brush-type motor, which spins at 13,000 RPM to deliver a 70-CFM airflow at a velocity of 140 MPH, drying hands in 15 seconds. To conserve energy, the unit stops releasing warm air after 60 seconds. For user comfort and to save on operating costs, the operator can flip the heater control switch into on or off positions. When on, the heater increases air temperature by 48 degrees Fahrenheit.

For wall mounting beside as many as two wash basins in average-traffic restrooms, the World Dryer L-972A hand dryer's polished stainless steel housing resists corrosion and is attached to a wall-mounting plate with tamper-resistant screws to prevent vandalism. To hinder bacterial growth between standard cleanings, the surface is treated with an antimicrobial agent that can protect against malodors and unsightly stains. It measures 11 43⁄100 inches wide by 3 9⁄10 inches deep by 10 7⁄10 inches high, overall, and it can be mounted to surfaces to comply with ADA accessibility requirements.
