Finex SL12-10001 Description
The Finex SL12-10001 cast iron skillet is an octagonal piece measuring 181⁄2 inches long by 12 inches wide by 32⁄5 inches tall. Its smooth, CNC-machined 93⁄4-inch-diameter cooking area comes pre-seasoned with organic flaxseed oil to enhance rust resistance in addition to nonstick qualities. This skillet uniformly distributes heat to eliminate cold spots, while its thick walls and base retain heat to ensure dishes are served to the table warm. Its eight rounded corners create pour spouts, while its eight angled sides facilitate placing a spatula behind crusts for simple lifting. For a secure grip during transport, it's built with a stainless steel spring handle that minimizes heat transfer and a helper tab for additional support. For uniformity, the decorative end cap will patina like the rest of the skillet's body.
Because the Finex SL12-10001 skillet includes a lid, operators can effectively boil, braise, and simmer an array of dishes. This 12-inch-long by 12-inch-wide by 2-inch-tall piece nests atop the skillet's rim to lock in moisture, heat, and flavor, while its dual basting rings collect steam during cooking so it can drip back into the dish to enhance flavor. When dishes are boiling, the rim rests keep the lid from rattling. Steam vents integrated throughout the surface minimize condensation. Waitstaff can dramatically present dishes at the table by gripping the milled, handpicked top knob to lift the lid and unveil the entree.
