Warps while cooling off
I thought the pan did a fine job for baking the cookies I bought this for. However, when cooling off, the pan would warp and make a strange snapping sound. Quite surprised me the first time it happened! Is this normal?
Stay away!
Stay away from these trays unless you don't mind them warping when you put them in the oven and actually turn it on!
Beautiful pan if it had just not warped in use.
I have been looking for a stainless steel half sheet/bun pan for years. I thought this was it. Not so, it warped during my first use of it.. A baking pan should work in the manner it is designed and sold to perform. They did refund my money but only after 4 phone calls and filling out the online return form on their website. They told me they had to talk to the manufacturer and get their permission before a refund could be issued.
IT WARPS
It warps in the oven, then flattens again as it cools. This makes it not the right choice for baking brownies.
Not usable
Within minutes of putting this pan in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for the first time, I heard a loud crack and discovered it had warped so much that its contents had all slid to one side and were in danger of spilling into the oven. So despite its good looks and apparent heavy-duty construction I really can't use the pan for anything.
Good Quality Pan
I have one large good quality stainless pan and have looked all over for another that will not warp at high temps. This one is just want I needed.
Heavy Sturdy Pans
I haven't used the pans yet, but they seem sturdy enough to avoid warping. If possible, I'll provide an update when I finally cook with them.
