This floorless unit can be placed on a finished tile or concrete floor, while its included vinyl screed can be lag fastened to the floor to ensure the cooler sits flat on the flooring. To ease setup, it comes with a hardware and installation instruction kit, which features a shop drawing, detailed installation instructions, hex wrench, and PVC press fit caps. The wall and ceiling tongue-and-groove panels boast a corrosion-resistant cam-action locking system and compression gasket to ensure airtight joints. Each panel is insulated with 4 inches of water-resistant closed-cell AK-XPS4 rigid foam that maintains an R-29 thermal resistance value over time, and these panels are finished with 26-gauge, stucco-embossed, corrosion-resistant Acrylume®—acrylic-coated GALVALUME®.

To maintain a 35-degree-Farhenheit interior, the Amerikooler QC081072**NBSC indoor walk-in cooler uses the included Heatcraft Bohn PT0078MBNAMSA refrigeration system, which is rated to perform in ambient air as hot as 90 degrees Fahrenheit. This 55-inch-wide by 36-inch-deep by 32 2⁄5-inch-tall unit ships fully assembled, evacuated, charged, run tested, and wired to ease installation on top of the cooler. To generate desired temperatures, it uses R-448A refrigerant and features an air-defrost mechanism.
