Good seat. Buyer beware of product description and retailer.
Let me begin with the product. Item appeared to be well put together and sturdy. However, the seat was a bit stiff and there was not much give when sitting on it. Therefore, while not as stiff as sitting on wood, it was not very soft either, but still a quality item for the price. That said, the product description is not accurate. The seat is actually 14 inch diameter (see images), which impacted me as my stool top is 14.5 inches. Additionally, when I contacted the company prior to my order, they contacted the manufacturer and told me the swivel attachment was included, which it was not. That is where the dealing with Katom itself comes into play. If possible, I would definitely recommend purchasing the elsewhere. After contacting the company to initiate a return, it took me a nearly two months to get my refund. Anytime I contacted them, it would take anywhere from two to three days to get a response. And even though the description was inaccurate and the swivel was not included, they still charged me a restocking fee and the shipping costs. I thought maybe this was temporary and replied back to the company twice already asking for clarification of whether I would receive a full refund, especially since this was a return based on misinformation that is still present in the description as of this writing. However, it has been two weeks with no response at this point, so I don't think they care. So all of that said, I would again recommend dealing with any other company as product accuracy and customer satisfaction are not a high priority at Katom. Just know who you are dealing with and don't assume they will try to make things right.
