I got rid of my old cast iron because it was no longer flat and would spin around on the stove. This skillet is close to 100% flat. I also like the square shape. The skillet needs to be finished ground to make bottom and inside smooth otherwise it will scratch glass cook tops......and food will stick.
I would buy this again.
I like to use this pan for cornbread, biscuits, pan steak, etc. It is a good size.
