The shelves can be adjusted in a flat or 10-degree-downward-slant position to accommodate an assortment of items. As inventory changes, the price tags can be interchanged on the front-mounted price tag moldings. Customers can quickly retrieve their selections from the open front, and the top LED light illuminates the interior to enhance visibility and promote impulse purchases. To complement established themes in airports, convenience stores, cafeterias, hotels, and more, its interior back panel, base, and trim are black. For a sleek, contemporary accent, its square side panels are made of tempered glass.

Because the Federal VRSS7260S self-serve merchandiser is built with a universal breathing system, it takes in air from the front and can release it from the front or back, eliminating rear clearance requirements. Its self-contained refrigeration system uses R449a refrigerant to hold stored contents between 38 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and operators can monitor the interior temperature at a glance with the digital thermometer. To minimize ice accumulation that could impact product quality, this unit defrosts automatically. When the unit isn't in use, the included night cover can be placed over the front opening to conserve energy.
