"I bought these for a middleschool art room to replace some plastic tops that would chip every time they were tipped over, which was frequently as they were also pretty top heavy. These new tops are a little lighter weight and not causing the stool bases to be as tippy. My students like sitting on them, and enjoy the extra "cush". I think they are a little thick, and wish they were about an inch less because some students complain about not being able to sit with their legs under my high art tables with the extra height. I only bought 4 to see if they would work for me. I will wait a few more months to make sure they hold up before I buy more, but so far I'm impressed. I had to redrill 3 new holes in my stool base in order to make these fit, but that wasn't that big of a deal."
