Primo PM-7 Description

Programmed with 11 possible speed options, the Primo PM-7 bench model mixer utilizes an infinite speed control system that can be adjusted depending on the task. Users can adjust the speed using its front-facing control panel. Designed with a planetary mixing system, the mixing element rotates around the rim of the bowl to push product to the center and mix it at all angles; this ensures thorough mixing that doesn't leave leftover dough on the side of the bowl. Its engine utilizes a series of heat-treated hardened steel gears. Additionally, its transmission is high torque, ensuring a consistent mixing speed against most doughs and batters. It features a thermal overload protection system that prevents the unit from damage caused by overheating. While running, its motor spins quietly, ensuring it doesn't distract nearby kitchen staff while they are working.

Utilizing a bench-style body, the Primo PM-7 planetary mixer has a compact size measuring 9 inches wide by 15 inches deep by 18 inches high. Compatible with 7-quart bowls, it comes with a stainless steel mixing bowl as well as a polycarbonate splash guard that keeps product from spilling out. To remove the bowl, users can lift the mixing head, which also automatically shuts off the unit to protect users. Its body is primarily constructed of aluminum, which is resistant to damage caused from consistent use; it's also simple to clean. The unit comes with a steel wire whip, an aluminum flat beater, and an aluminum dough hook for added kitchen versatility.

I probably would not purchase this type of mixer again

Had I known that this mixer was a tilting type versus a vertical (bowl) lift machine, I probably would not have bought it. Unfortunately the diagram and its description did not mention this fact and since I never owned a tilting type of mixer I didn't recognize that it wasn't what I had hoped it would be. Moreover, it doesn't seem to have any noticeably greater power than my former equal 7 quart Kitchenaide mixer. On the plus side, it does have a splash guard and, unexpectedly came with all stainless steel attachments. Also, KaTom's selling price was far lower than other website.
