While this unit has only one open section, its 13-cubic-foot capacity offers ample room for rows of beverages, sealed snacks, and salads. This space is sectioned out with five 12-inch shelves, highlighting products with its two glass end panels and LED vertical canopy lighting. The refrigerated unit sits atop four levelers to maintain an upright position and also offers four smooth casters that simplify movement.

The Hussmann MDN-3575S1A vertical reach-in cooler features a self-contained cassette refrigeration system that works to preserve medium temperatures throughout its body. Rather than the same air being circulated, this unit takes in air from the front and separates it from the hot air before discharging it through the back with a strong evaporator and R290 refrigerant. Once the cool air remains, it’s circulated into the storage space with a fanning system. Because this machine can get chilly—possibly even creating ice—it's programmed for time-initiated, temperature-terminated defrosts to preserve its advanced components. Additionally, the base of this system tends to collect moisture so it’s coupled with an automatic evaporation drain pan system that minimizes condensation output for optimal, long-lasting performance.
