The Hamilton Beach 55000 Procter Silex® blender can be used to make smoothies and drinks or salsa, hummus, and other spreads. Its transparent polycarbonate jar has measurement markings on the side and holds as much as 64 ounces of product. Users can monitor product as it blends when using the pulse switch, or they can choose a blend speed and press a time button. While blending, liquid can be slowly added through the dosing cup to change the consistency of product.
If product gets stuck while blending, users can turn off the power, remove the top, and unclog the blades with the tamper. Finished product can be poured out the container's pointed spout, which helps prevent splatter. For durability, this Hamilton Beach 55000 all-purpose blender has a powerful 2 2⁄5-horsepower motor and an all-metal drive. The drive's ball bearings are sealed and can withstand high blending speeds.
