The Mahlkonig E80GBW espresso grinder operates at an idle speed of 1,700 revolutions per minute; its high-performance motor features active temperature control and quiet grinding for use in more intimate settings. Once the preferred grind settings are selected, the 80-millimeter burrs and discs produce 7 to 8 grams of product per second. This unit’s grind-by-weight automatically adjusts when a portafilter’s weight is registered to the system, and users can pre-save up to six different recipes for quick setup when making common items.
The front of the Mahlkonig E80GBW espresso grinder features an 88.3-millimeter-thick resolution display that previews the distance between the discs so users can adjust their desired fineness and coarseness. Once this is set, the locking mechanism helps retain that setting until the next manual adjustment, which can be quickly changed using the system’s turn-and-push controls. Designed to be placed on countertops, it measures 99/20 inches wide by 132/5 inches deep by 244/5 inches high and is supplied with a 4-pound-capacity hopper.
