Because the Norlake KODF77810-C outdoor walk-in freezer uses a top-mounted Capsule Pak™ refrigeration system to produce and maintain temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Designed for outdoor use, it shouldn't be used in areas that exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit to reduce the chance of the refrigeration system overworking. This unit comes with a weather protection kit that includes a one-piece, 35-millimeter white membrane roof material that can be attached with the ceiling panels without gluing or seaming, and a metal trim for the roof's flashing that can be secured to the wall panels with self-tapping and self-drilling TEK screws.

To assemble this unit, the modular wall, floor, and ceiling panels can be properly aligned with the male and female mating rails and then connected using the cam locking fasteners to create an airtight seal. Polyurethane insulation measuring 4 inches thick is foamed in place into each panel, providing R-32 thermal resistance value for the walls, ceiling, and door and an R-28 thermal resistance value for the floor. For longevity, the interior and exterior panels are finished with stucco-embossed, corrosion-resistant, 26-gauge coated steel. To accommodate bulk storage, the smooth aluminum floor can support an evenly distributed load of 800 pounds per square foot. Fully assembled, this freezer measures 8 feet wide by 10 feet deep by 7 feet 7 inches tall.

The Norlake KODF77810-C walk-in freezer is built with a right-hinged, self-closing 26-inch-wide by 78-inch-tall door fitted with cam-lift hinges that can be adjusted in the field. Inside the freezer, an LED light illuminates the storage area, and staff can turn the light on and off with the corresponding light switch. To ensure products are held at -10 degrees Fahrenheit, a digital thermometer provides an accurate temperature readout. After business hours, users can lock the door's deadbolt handle without fear of trapping employees inside, thanks to its interior safety release mechanism.
