If it's not a macho thing ........
"If you feel no need to be saying things like, "My Dutch oven is so much bigger than yours that it takes four strong men and a boy just to get it off my pick-up truck."....or..... "I once fed 3,742 starving boy scouts at a jamboree in Upper Armpit, Idaho ".... You may not need a huge capacity DO. This is the first outdoor oven size I bought and it is usually this size or my six quart that gets used the most. I still love my five quart and find that most of the time, it's all I need."

"The 8 inch, Lodge, Camp style Dutch Oven is a great size when cooking, OUTDOORS ONLY, for 2 - 3 people. It makes a great gift for those wanting to get into Dutch Oven Cooking, with no need to cook for a crowd. Its smaller size & weight is also easier to travel with. It will oven roast a medium size chicken, when split in halfs. I have also baked 4 large potatoes to perfection in this size oven. This is also a great size for making desserts & side dishes. STACK with larger ovens to cook entire meal."
