Its bottom stainless steel layer is magnetic, so it can also be used on induction ranges. Excellent stock pot:
The Vollrath Tribute line is their tri-ply verson, with commercial cookware features (practical handles and lids; no bells and whistles; made to be kitchen workhorses). Other brands with similar construction cost 2.5 times as much. I *love* this stock pot, as well as the 16 qt. The lids (bought separately) are also great and easy to handle. Vollrath stands by its products! One item with minor defect was replaced quickly, no questions asked(through Katom - great service!).
A great pot for Induction
This pot is "cheaply" priced for its size. It works great on an induction stovetop.
