Groen XS-480-12-3 Description
Preventing water damage, the heating element in the Groen XS-480-12-3 countertop steamer is housed externally for protection. It has a reservoir that holds 3 gallons of water, so it doesn't require any hookups for operation. When temperatures reach 212 degrees Fahrenheit, the chamber begins to steam, and internal fans circulate the steam for uniform cooking. To prevent heat loss, a magnetic switch turns the fans off when the door is open, and this machine is constructed of stainless steel—a durable material great for long standing use.
Fitting nicely on a countertop without taking up too much room, the Groen XS-480-12-3 convection steamer measures 23 1⁄4 inches wide by 29 inches deep by 30 1⁄4 inches high. Constructed of wire, the pan racks let warm air flow around the gaps and among held products. This unit has one section that accommodates six full-size hotel pans of food, and when food is being cooked, standby mode is enabled, or the heat is turned on, indicator lights will shine. A light will also indicate if water levels get low, and if water isn't refilled, the unit will shut off for safety purposes.
