To reduce injury risks, the Primo PS-12 compact meat slicer has a tray-mounted safety guard and ring guard that lets users clean the unit without cutting themselves. It can be adjusted to cut slices of meat as thick as 15 millimeters using the 12-inch-long hardened stainless steel blade. Ensuring precise cuts, a built-in knife sharpener improves efficiency.

For smooth operation, the Primo PS-12 compact meat slicer operates with permanently lubricated carriage ball bearings and a belt-driven motor. An indicator light shows the unit is turned on and a switch facilitates operation—both the light and the switch are resistant to water and dust. Resisting corrosion, the slicer's housing is made of anodized aluminum.
