Berkel B12A-SLC Description
Ideal for thick, oversized meats and cheeses, the Berkel B12A-SLC automatic/manual slicer accommodates foods as large as 10 3⁄4 inches wide by 7 5⁄8 inches high or 7 3⁄8 inches in diameter. Its enclosed 1⁄2-horsepower knife motor is permanently lubricated and spins the 12-inch-diameter carbon steel knife at 380 RPM to cut through product. To accommodate a desired slice thickness, operators can adjust the precision system to cut slices as thick as 9⁄16 of an inch or as thin as a tissue.
To reduce mechanical pressure, the Berkel B12A-SLC slicer's product table is angled at 45 degrees for a full-gravity feed. The anodized aluminum pusher secures product in place and can be removed as needed for cleaning. A two-stone knife sharpener mounted on the top of the unit helps maintain a sharp edge for clean, consistent cuts over time, while a knife ring guard covers the knife's non-slicing portion for user safety. Operators can turn the unit on and off via the power switch, and a correlating power indicator light glows when the unit is in use. This stainless steel and anodized aluminum unit measures 23 inches wide by 27 1⁄2 inches deep by 28 1⁄4 inches high.
