Bunn WAVE15-S-APS Description
The Bunn WAVE15-APS low-profile coffee brewer (39900.0006) enables users to adjust the flavor profile with three pulse brew routines using BrewMETER® technology. To increase turbulence in the black plastic brew funnel, the unit uses SmartWAVE, and a cold-brew lock-out function ensures uniform coffee quality. Using a slide-out booster tray, the coffee maker brews into a 1 9⁄10-liter thermal carafe brewer and can produce 3 9⁄10 gallons of coffee per hour in high-volume establishments.
To protect users of the Bunn WAVE15-APS wide-base coffee brewer (39900.0006), a SplashGard® funnel guides hot liquids away from hands. During slow periods of business, an energy-saver mode can be activated to lower the tank's temperature, reducing energy and saving money. Accommodating large pots, the legs of the unit are adjustable, and the coffee maker is controlled with analog switches that shine red or green lights to indicate if the unit is on or off.

Very happy with this coffee maker
Being a church we have heavy usage on Sunday, with usually one pot per day the rest of the week. However, even though we have a filter on the water line, the hot water spigot has plugged twice in the first 6 months. Maybe if it were used more it would not plug, but it is not convenient to unplug. The plug occurs where the nipple is attached to the tank and requires removing the cover, disassembling the spigot and connecting tubing and then inserting the descale tool into the nipple. Then when the plug is dislodged extremely hot water comes out of the nipple following the descale tool possibly coming in contact with very sensitive areas. Even if the machine is allowed to cool before attemping this there will still be spillage. The plastic clamps that hold the tubing are meant to be reused, but are not very handy, so the second time I replaced them with worm gear clamps. I expect that I will have to perform this operation about every three months and don't look forward to it. I think this requires some design consideration.
Great coffee maker
We purchased this to replace our 10 year old Bunn Wave coffee maker. We had to replace our old one because of the hard water that is in our office, otherwise, I believe it would have lasted another 10 years. Our office typically goes through at least 2 airpots a day. The hot water dispenser was a must have for those who like their tea over coffee. Good quality brewer for the price and functions.
