I would not buy this product

I've had this for about 2 yrs and it's been nothing but issues. The float cup reservoir is badly designed. When the water over flows it triggers the float switch and the machine turns off, but it can't drain the water completely because the hole is too high, so the water just sits in the cup and the machine remains off. The water continues to flow out of the overflow tube and splashing it all over the machine, which has caused so much calcium deposits. I'm surprised the electronics didn't get fried. The rubber grommets that try to keep water from escaping from the overflow tubes are useless. Water still escapes and trickles down the machine creating a puddle at the both bottom. One more thing regarding the float cup. There is a drain tube that is connected to the float cup, but the tube is only about 3 ft long, so the end basically hangs in mid air draining the water at the bottom of the machine. The technician never bothered to correct that. Something that costs over $1800, I expect better. I've spent over $500 replacing parts and having a technician look at it and still operates like crap. Look elsewhere for hot water dispenser or take your chances.

KaTom's Response:

We're really sorry to hear how frustrating this experience has been, especially after investing that much time and money trying to keep the unit running. The issues you described with the float cup design, drainage, and ongoing water overflow are not what anyone should expect from equipment at this price point.

Good, but not perfect

I've had this product for over 2 yrs, but the last 6 months it's been giving some minor issues. First the water pressure seems to very low during the late hours. I have a second water dispenser connected to the same line, along with two other water stations and the pressure seems to fine. Second, there is a slow leak at the bottom of the dispenser. I'm trying to find the root cause for both, but not luck. I'll keep on searching.

KaTom's Response:

Thanks for sharing your experience-it's frustrating to run into those kinds of issues after a couple of years of use. We recommend contacting KaTom at help@katom.com to see if we can help facilitate getting things fixed or reaching out to Bunn directly.
