Tabletop: Additional Information
The tabletop section of the KaTom website contains all of the items that could be found on a commercial or residential tabletop. This section is divided into 13 smaller categories, each holding items that you will need for your business, but that are often overlooked. Tabletop items are the products you see in the front of a restaurant, typically on tables, that help to make a great first impression on customers as they enter your establishment.
Serving Items
Serving items are the items that are either placed or taken to the customer's table that hold some type of food, condiment, or beverage. This section has 11 different items that are used for serving food products.
Molcajetes are frequently used for food or even food cooling items, depending on the size of the molcajete used. Store N serve food pans are variously sized pans that allow you to both store and serve the food on the same platter.
Serving & buffet series serving items are various types of plates and other dinnerware items that allow you to serve customers in an elegant fashion.
Serving crocks & platters are great for serving small items or items that can be snacked on before the actual meal arrives, such as tortilla chips.
Rarebits / Au Gratin dishes are stainless steel, elegant looking dishes that are perfect for serving gourmet foods.
Sizzling platters are great for dishes that are to be served hot, and can be placed on another item, such as a wooden dish, to keep it from burning your employees or customers.
Ceramic serving platters, tulip dishes, and serving bowls are great for casual dining type settings.
Salsa, chip, and tortilla servers are frequently used in restaurants serving Mexican food, while wooden dishes can add a splash of accent to this, or any, type of decor.
Certain types of serving items are more frequently used for serving condiments and other items that are used to help enhance the flavor of foods. Condiment jars are ideal for holding and serving just about any type of condiment you can imagine. These jars come in various sizes and are available with or without a cover. Cruet sets are most often used to present and pour oils, vinegar, or syrup.
Glass jars are an extremely versatile type of serving items because it can hold any product necessary.

Beverage decanters & carafes can be used to hold your beverage of choice and are available with or without a stopper.
Pitchers hold large amounts of product and are great if you have a large table that needs frequent refills.
Wine & beverage servers are graceful looking servers that are most often used to serve great-tasting wines to your customers.
Ashtrays
The ashtrays section has three different types of ashtrays to fit in with any type of decor. Glass ashtrays offer a classier, more refined look for your cigarette disposal needs. Plastic ashtrays provide you with two color choices and are a less expensive ashtray option. Metal ashtrays are also a budget-friendly way to handle your ashtray needs are available in various color options.
Baskets
The basket section is divided into 5 smaller categories to help narrow your search.
Bread & bun baskets and fast food baskets have a similar design that allow you to serve numerous products, such as hamburgers, fries, and many other foods, in a small, easy to handle container.
Weavewear baskets offer a more textured look for serving products and are available in colorful packs to enhance visual appeal.
Metal serving baskets are an interesting way to serve products and condiments. These baskets can hold various types of food, with some offering special areas for any type of dipping sauce your customers may need.
Rattan baskets are handmade baskets that are ideal for holding any type of dry food product.
Dispensers
The dispensers section is divided into 12 categories that hold both food and non-food products. There are 7 types of food dispensers available.
Squeeze dispensers are often used to hold condiments such as ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, jellies, and syrups.
Tea pots / creamers & accessories are all of the products you will need to serve and create the perfect cup of tea for your customers.
Dripcut servers are the containers often used when serving syrups to be used on other types of food products. J-Jars are plastic, clear jars and are sold either separately or in groups of three. These units are great for nearly any type of condiment or jelly. Lids are sold separately.
Self-serve dispensers can hold both food and non-food products, such as condiments or straws.
Sugar caddies are rectangular holders that are great for holding packets of sugar. Sugar pourers and sugar bowls do just as the name suggest, hold and pour sugar.
There are also five types of non-food dispensers in this category. Non-food dispensers are any dispenser that holds a product that is necessary in the foodservice business, but is not a food. Accessory holders are multi-functional holders that hold both condiments and non-food items. Napkin dispensers can be placed on individual tables or on the the counter and hold napkins, which customers may pull out and use as needed. Straw dispensers hold and dispense straws and can also be placed on either the table or counter of your business. Cup & lid dispensers can be purchased in varying types, but all perform essentially the same function. These units hold and dispense cups and lids to hold all of the beverages your business offers. Toothpick dispensers are the perfect way to hold and dispense toothpicks to your customers, which allows them to help maintain their dental hygiene.
Drinkware
The drinkware section contains 21 different types of cups and mugs to fit in with any type of restaurant. We also offer quite a few varieties of quality commercial drinkware suitable for residential use, and several lines that are exclusively residential.
Table Coverings / Tablecloths
The
table coverings / tablecloths category is broken down into 7 smaller categories.
Linen napkins are the perfect way to provide an elegant look while offering durable performance.
Napkin bands are a great way to hold napkins neatly in place, yet still allow you to easily access and unfold your napkin.
Pre-cut tablecloths are tablecloths which are already cut to fit some of the most common table sizes. These tablecloths are available in a variety of colors and styles that will fit in with any type of restaurant decor.
Table skirting provides an appealing visual appearance by covering the bottom section of tables, which can be unattractive to customers. Table skirts also allow you to store items underneath a table without being seen.
Tablecloth rolls are tablecloths that are available in a variety of patterns and colors and can be rolled out and cut to fit your specific table.
Crumb sweepers are typically seen in upscale restaurants and are used to sweep the table area clean. These sweepers push the crumbs that are left on the table into whatever the waiter chooses to place them in for disposal.
Table scarves allow you to have a colorful, decorative material down the middle of your table without covering the whole area. Scarves are frequently used as the area to place other tabletop items to keep them from moving or sliding around.

Tabletop menu card holders can hold checks, menus, cards, or any other type of item that needs to be displayed on your tabletop.

Table number cards are the perfect way to keep up with orders in a busy restaurant. Shakers & Mills (Salt, Pepper, Cheese, & Other)
The
shakers & mills section contains 8 smaller categories that all allow your customers to have the amount of cheese, salt, or pepper they desire on their food products. Cheese shakers are often used in pizza restaurants, while
glass salt & pepper mills, acrylic mills,
metal mills,
wood mills, and
glass, lexan, & poly shakers are used in early all restaurants.

Silverware & Flatware
The
silverware & flatware section has 4 smaller categories to narrow down your search. The flatware section contains butter knives, forks, and spoons in many different varieties that are often wrapped in a napkin and placed on the customer's table.
