High Volume Coffee Systems
High volume coffee systems are ideal for large restaurants and any other area that needs large amounts of coffee brewed at a single time. The units offered through KaTom are from our trusted manufacturer Bunn-O-Matic. Bunn has been in business sine 1957, when George Bunn created his first paper coffee filter. While headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, Bunn has manufacturing plants and warehouse facilities in the United State, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Brewing Source of the Coffee Maker
High volume coffee systems can be broken down into two categories, units who brew a liquid coffee concentrate or units who brew fresh ground coffee. Commercial coffee systems that brew a liquid coffee concentrate reduce waste and messes by eliminating grounds. Liquid coffee concentrate produces a consistent flavor and aroma. This liquid coffee brewing machine is more convenient, cost-effective, and consistent. These machines brew coffee at incredible speeds and require minimal labor and handling.
Commercial high volume coffee systems that brew freshly ground coffee tends to produce a coffee with a better taste, but can go bad more quickly. Areas that have a high turnover rate can use fresh ground coffee without concern, whereas areas that have slightly less traffic should consider other options.
Concentrate Requirements
High volume coffee systems that require use of liquid coffee concentrate can use either refrigerated or room temperature liquid coffee. The difference in the two can be found in the concentration of the coffee itself. Certain concentrates are unstable at room temperature and must be refrigerated. When liquid coffee concentrate is refrigerated, it can have a shelf life of up to 3 months.
Height of High Volume Coffee Makers
Commercial high volume coffee makers come in three available heights to fit in your businesses available space. These coffee makers can be purchased in heights of 23.2", 30", or 38". This variety of height allows you to place the units on a counter, under a cabinet, or any number of other spaces.
Brewing Capacity
These commercial coffee makers have two different brewing capacities, either 120 or 125 cups per hour.
Specialty Options
High volume coffee systems come with two specialty options. Units can be purchased that are equipped with either portion control or iced coffee functions. Portion control units allow the liquid to pour automatically into the cup until it reaches a certain point and then cuts off. This cut off eliminates the risk of human error and reduces the number of spills, which minimizes cleaning time.
Iced coffee makers provide a smoother, richer tasting coffee because it relies on time rather than heat to transfer the flavor of the bean. Popular iced coffees, such as Frappuccino, are becoming increasingly mainstream, and can be purchased at nearly any gas station, grocery store, or restaurant.
Coffee Maker Connector Type
High volume coffee makers come with 5 different types of connectors. You can choose from coffee makers with either Scholle 1910LX connectors, LiquiBox QC/D II connectors, Scholle QC connectors, Rapak connectors, or Scholle connectors.
