Vollrath 69504 Description
More efficient than standard electric and gas equipment, the Vollrath 69504 countertop induction cooktop uses induction to cook product. A dense copper coil in the unit creates a magnetic field around the cooking surface and, when compatible cookware is placed on the surface, the electrons in the pan's metal move rapidly. This generates friction and heat that is used to cook food.
The controls are intuitive and the temperature range is wide, whether the aim is low-heat sauce cooking or higher end production. The control panel features buttons only, so it catches less debris. A stainless steel case and ceramic top further aid cleaning. Safety features include overheat protection, small-article detection, pan auto-detection, and an empty pan shut-off.
