Vulcan 60SC-4B36GT Description
Because the Vulcan 60SC-4B36GT Endurance™ gas restaurant range features four open burners and a 36-inch-wide griddle, staff can fry, simmer, or boil ingredients on the left side while cooking pancakes, eggs, or proteins on the right. The 30,000-BTU burners include cast grates with integrated aeration bowls to enhance efficiency. The two front grates measure 12 inches by 12 1⁄2 inches, while the two rear grates measures 12 inches by 14 1⁄2 inches to accommodate large cookware. To reduce gas consumption, one shrouded flashtube pilot system supplies power to two burners, rather than each burner having an individual gas supply. Users can increase or decrease heat with the burner knobs, which remain cool to the touch through operation.
The 7⁄8-inch-thick griddle plate is durable enough to withstand repeated heating and cooling, and to reduce lag times when reheating the surface, this metal retains heat. For precise temperature adjustment, it's equipped with snap-action thermostatic controls. To simplify cleanup after use, operators can remove leftover oil from the 4-inch-wide front-mounted grease trough.
While the Vulcan 60SC-4B36GT commercial range's left side features a standard oven that relies on radiant heat to bake dishes, the right side boasts a convection oven using fan to circulate heat. Both oven temperatures can be set from 250 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit to achieve various results. Despite their different interior dimensions, both ovens accommodate 18-inch by 26-inch pans inserted side to side. Each oven includes two racks that can be raised or lowered in four positions with the corresponding rack guide sets. So operators can smoothly insert and retrieve pans, the ovens are built with hinged doors, and the door panels and bases are porcelain for simple cleaning.
To save space in kitchens, this unit measures 60 inches wide by 34 inches deep by 58 inches high. It's positioned on adjustable, 6-inch-tall legs that can be raised or lowered to level the unit on irregular surfaces. Because its front, sides, lift-off high shelf, legs, and backriser are made of stainless steel, it resists rust, corrosion, and wear and is durable enough for long-term use in high-traffic settings. For additional strength, its frame is fully MIG welded. Overall, this LP-gas-powered unit outputs 238,000 BTUs and has a 1-inch rear gas connection. To ease pressure adjustment, it's equipped with a pressure regulator.
