The stainless steel shelves contribute to the cleanliness since they come in contact with food products. The cold air compartment isolates pans from the reach-in area to keep food from spilling and maintains temperatures evenly so fresh food can be kept longer. The 9 1⁄2-inch-deep, 1⁄2-inch-thick cutting board has a side rail that makes cutting food and preparing it convenient with the side rail that prevents food from falling off.

Since manually cleaning the condenser in a refrigeration system is so costly in time and money, the Turbo Air TST-60SD Super Deluxe Series Sandwich/Salad prep table has a built-in self-cleaning condenser. A mesh filter prevents dust from getting to the condenser coil fins while a rotating brush removes dust that has collected on the mesh filter two to three times a day. The brush also moves up and down to remove excess dust outward and away from the condenser, effectively preventing dust from collecting in the first place. The self-cleaning condenser helps prevent a premature system failure and allows the system to maintain the highest efficiency.
