Star GX14IS Description
Since the Star GX14IS Grill Express™ two-sided grill has smooth plates, it will not leave grill marks on food like grooved plates, but it is faster to clean. The grill has cast iron top and bottom plates to efficiently press sandwiches, and its hinges provide uniform pressure to food products as thick as 3 inches.
Maintaining a set temperature between 175 and 450 degrees Fahrenheit, the Star GX14IS panini press has embedded elements to ensure quick recovery and consistent heat distribution. Around the bottom plate's sides, a splash guard keeps grease and debris contained, and grease runs into a trough, which is removable to facilitate cleaning.

Don't buy, will break
I had 4 of these grills at one point. 2 I purchased used, so they were older, but they worked great, so I purchased 2 new ones. Both new ones broke in the first year. The cord in the back breaks and then it shorts. It is a design flaw!
