Hot Dog Broilers

Hot dog broilers are designed to be easy to use while providing the perfectly broiled hot dog.  These easily accessible units are excellent visual merchandisers and have bun storage areas that are either closed or open air areas.  These hot dog machines have colorful merchandising graphics that help to build impulse sales and provide excellent visibility by brightly illuminating the interior of the unit.  These interior lights are controlled by a lighted "on-off" switch.  All of the hot dog broilers offered through KaTom are manufactured by Star, an industry leader in hot dog and concessional sales equipment.

Hot Dog Broiler Holding Capacity

Commercial hot dog broilers are available with four different holding capacities to best meet the needs of your business.  These hot dog makers are capable of holding 18, 24, 36, or 48 warm, fresh hot dogs.  The size and volume of your business will determine the size broiler you need.

Bun Holding Capacity

Hot dog broilers have bun storage areas underneath the unit to provide your customers with warm, ready to serve hot dog buns without allowing them to become soggy or dried out.  These holding areas can hold either 12 or 32 buns, depending upon  the model.

Hot Dog Broiler Wheel Type

Commercial hot dog broilers are available with two different types of wheels, either spike or cradle varieties.  Spike wheels spear and rotate the product during cooking to ensure even heating while cradle style wheels provides a basting action that rolls the hot dogs during cooking, which results in juicy, evenly cooked hot dogs with a uniform color and taste.  While both varieties of broilers will produce warm juicy hotdogs, hotdogs sometimes have a tendency to slip off the the spikes and fall to the bottom of the broiler.  Because of this, unless your personal preference is the spiked wheel variety, we recommend choosing the cradle style.

Hotdog Broiler Width

Hot dog broilers are available in two different widths to fit into your available space, whether small or large.  These units can be purchased with widths of either 13 1/2" or 19 1/2".
