The Southbend EZ18-5 2401 countertop convection steamer has a stainless steel cooking chamber with coved corners to make cleaning easy. The inner liner of the door is stainless steel with a full perimeter gasket seal and a stainless steel outer liner. The door also has a positive lock and seal mechanism with a spring-release door that makes opening and closing it simpler. The steamer has a stainless steel control housing with a removable panel that is fully accessible to make service simple. To make the cooking process easier, the panel has a cooking indicator light and a ready indicator light so you know what stage of the cooking process the food is in. A 60-minute electric timer signals with an audible alarm to let you know the cooking cycle is finished. If the door is opened during the cooking cycle, steam stops generating and then continues after the door has been closed.
