Because it's part of the Camshelving® Premium system, this Cambro CPA244872V5480 add-on shelving unit can be attached to a similarly sized Premium starter shelving unit. Traverses, dovetails, and a post kit are included with this shelving system, so operators have the necessary hardware to fasten it in a straight-line extension or in L, U, and T shapes. Because the post kit ships assembled and the dovetails are built into the posts, this system can be assembled more quickly than Cambro's Elements and Basics Plus shelving units. Fully assembled, it measures 48 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 72 inches high and is speckled gray to match other Premium shelving components and equipment. To minimize storage limitations, it's safe in temperatures from -36 to 190 degrees Fahrenheit for use in common storage spaces, such as walk-in units, dishrooms, and pantries.

The Cambro CPA244872V5480 add-on shelving unit offers five levels of vented shelves that support 800 pounds each. However, storing more than 2,000 pounds on this unit could result in structural damage. Each corrosion- and rust-resistant polypropylene shelf plate is impervious to harsh chemicals and saltwater and contains Camguard® antimicrobial protection to inhibit bacterial growth and spread between regular cleanings. When the shelves are dirty, they can be wiped clean or sanitized in a warewasher. Because the shelves' gapped surfaces let air pass through to reach product directly, perishables and bulk ingredients can be stored in appropriate environments.
