With its smooth cast iron plate, the Cecilware Pro SG1LF panini sandwich grill's flat surface acts a griddle, able to cook hamburgers, burritos, and french toast. Its counter-balanced top plate works with the bottom plate to cook both sides of food evenly, preventing undercooking or burning. Plus, by cooking both sides simultaneously, cooking time is reduced. Though it requires more maintenance than aluminum or vitroceramic plates, the cast iron plate retains heat longer, which is ideal for commercial kitchens, and can heat to a maximum of 570 degrees Fahrenheit. Its nonstick composition prevents foods from adhering to the plate after cooked; this plate requires occasional reseasoning to ensure a nonstick surface.

The Cecilware Pro SG1LF grill also includes important safety and maintenance features. Finished with durable stainless steel, it withstands common kitchen accidents, such as scuffs and scrapes, and its nonslip feet secure the grill in place, so it does not slide when bumped.
