That ice measures 7⁄8-inch in all dimensions, a slow-melting format that's valued for serving liquor on the rocks, soft drinks, and iced tea. The interior of the machine stays cleaner and more sanitary between machine cleanings thanks to a built-in Pure Ice® antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of harmful microorganisms that can impart off-tastes and cause illness. The machine's evaporator is plated with nickel to resist rust.

To maximize the life of your Ice-O-Matic ICE0400FTB40PS ice machine head and bin combo, the machine's incoming water supply should be connected to an IFQ1 manifold filter system of an IFI4C/IFI8C filter system, each of which are sold separately. That setup will help prevent damage to the machine from limescale buildup from hard water while also removing impurities that can affect the clarity and taste of the ice.
