Dean SR142G Description

The Dean SR142 Super Runner fryer has a 14-inch by 13 3⁄4-inch frypot and twin fry baskets. In the pot, large cast iron, tube-type burners directly heat the oil over a large surface area. Baffles in the tubes help direct the heat, maximizing efficiency to speed up recovery times. When cooking, the in-pot temperature probe monitors the temperature as it changes and turns the heat on and off to compensate. Not only does this design increase food consistency, it also prevents the oil from burning.

This Dean SR142 tube fryer works great for a variety of fried foods, including cheese sticks, onion rings, breaded fish, and French fries. It features a wide frypot and deep cold zone to help protect food and oil quality. Because this design keeps loose crumbs from clumping around the burners and carbonizing, it slows oil degradation and reduces how often the oil needs to be replaced.

Quality economy fryer

We have had no trouble with this fryer after over a year's use. My only comment is that it has what I would consider an unusually hot (large) standing pilot. In fact, the pilot alone keeps the oil at about 170 degrees (and makes a lot of noise).
