Hobart 84186C-1 Description
Meant for use in correctional facilities, the Hobart 84186C-1 food cutter includes several features to prevent unwanted tampering. Its body is made of burnished aluminum—a durable and simple-to-clean material—and it lacks any seams to prevent food particle accumulation. Special fasteners secure its 18-inch stainless steel bowl to its body. Its knife is made of double cutlery grade stainless steel, ensuring sharpness and durability, and users can use its No. 12 hub to attach either a vegetable slicer or meat chopper (sold separately). In total, it measures 33 3⁄4 inches long by 22 1⁄2 inches wide by 17 1⁄2 inches tall, accommodating countertop placementc. To further support the unit, it rests on a series of rubber-footed 3-inch legs and sports a 6-foot-long power cord.
With its 1-horsepower motor, the Hobart 84186C-1 correctional food processor can spin its interior blade at 1,725 rotations per minute. To ease the cutting process and reduce the risk of jams, its bowl also spins at 20 rotations per minute accommodates 15 pounds of product at once. The machine refuses to start while the bowl cover is open, and operators can lock the pull out power switch to stop unwanted activations.
