Alternative use of items purchased
My Order was for a 4.75 gal rectangular container with a fitted lid. I am using the container with an Anova Precision Cooker for Sous Vide recipes. I cut a hole in the center end of the lid, cut back the container rim a bit - both with a skill saw - to provide a steady mounting surface for the Anova and to provide the container a lid to minimize evaporation during cooking (which can take 40 to 70 hours...). The container's size (4.75gal) is large enough for me to cook several poaches of meat/veggies/etc at a time. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. It would have been a super storage bin except for my adaptation for Sous Vide purposes.
