The Vollrath 77739 Tribute® saucepan is made of three layers with interior and exterior stainless steel and an aluminum core. This provides an even heat on the bottom and side walls and prevents flavor transfer. Rated to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, the handle protects users from heat, while the pan, measuring 6 inches diameter by 3 inches deep, has a 1 1⁄2-quart capacity.

Happy with product
This is my go to pot. Just started using it. I use it to cook vegetables, soup, rice, etc. The only thing that surprised me was that the food leaves a film on the bottom side of the pot - for example, the green skin of zucchini. I can't just clean it off with the bristle side of a sponge, I have to use a scouring powder like bar keepers friend on the bristle side of the sponge, and then it comes off easily. Perhaps this is common with 18/8 stainless steel, but I was surprised to find it so absorbent. The last stainless steel pot (18/10) I bought was in 2000, and I don't recall that being an issue. I still have the pot, although I burnt it several times (reason why I wanted it replaced) and it has a gray black ring around the bottom edge, but I never had a problem with food leaving a colored film. The handle on the Vollrath does get hot if I boil something a long time, but not so hot that I can't grab it without a pot holder. Given that it is hard to find a 3-ply stainless steel pot that is 18/8 or 18/10, for a reasonable price, I am happy with this pot and would purchase again. Also, it is not overly heavy.
My go to
I've had mine a few years now and it's by far my favorite, most used sauce pan. It's not beautiful, but it works beautifully. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
USA-made; great quality
The previous review stated this was not made in the USA. I own this pot (purchased 6 mos. ago), and mine is indeed marked as made in USA, and arrived directly from Vollrath, here in the U.S. It's a great little sauce pan, and I recommend it highly.
NOT Made in the USA
Can't comment on quality as just received, though seems high quality. Just wanted to put out there that this is NOT made in the USA.
