The handle is heavy duty with its polypropylene construction. Since the blade and handle on this utensil are molded together, its sanitary seal prevents crumbs from getting stuck. It can be washed in the dishmachine.

Would've given a higher rating, however once you wash them, the rubber part gets like a marbled pink color that will not come off.
