For added security, the 9-inch hardened and polished chromium-plated carbon steel knife comes equipped with a permanent tapered knife ring guard. A top-mounted, two-stone sharpening system ensures long-lasting sharpness and performance. This light-duty slicer is appropriate for limited, precise daily slicing of meat and vegetables, but operators should not slice cheese with a slicer blade of this size.

Resistant to corrosion, the Berkel 823E-PLUS manual slicer is finished with stainless steel or anodized aluminum on all food contact areas. For streamlined cleaning and sanitation, users can quickly disassemble the slicer without tools.
