Bad Choice For Poultry Shears
I thought these would be great for taking apart chickens. I wanted a pair that came apart at the hinge for easy cleaning but the hinge doesn't keep the two blades close enough together. I did a fine job cutting through bone but when I was just trying to snip away the loose skin at the tail end of the chicken the skin just sort of folded up in between the blades. I had to use a boning knife to finish the job. These are also advertised as pre-sharpened on the package but it's a pretty wimpy edge. I'm hoping that when I bring my pair to get sharpened they may be able to do something about the loose blades as well but right now I feel like I wasted [$].
Made in CHINA
Dexter web page states made in USA. [...]Shears are marked CHINA. Only paid such a high price because I was under the information that they were made in USA.
