It has an appealing rosewood handle with brass compression rivets; while capable and functional, this handle should not be left to soak in water for extended periods. The fork’s high-carbon steel tines are strong and made to last a considerable length of time.

I've been looking for a meat fork for a long time! So glad I ordered!

Misground tines
The fork tines were.ground unevenly. One was needle sharp, the other...a full obtuse point
Working out well
This is smaller than the carving forks I'm used to, but for me it's a change for the better. I'll probably get a larger one and keep this one someday but this will be used the most. Very well made. The only thing I'd suggest is to check the size before buying just to be sure if this is what you want or of if wanting the larger more commonly seen carving fork sizes. In any case am very satisfied with this fork.
