Hot Dog Steamers: Additional Information

Hot dog steamers steam hot dogs until they are juicy and ready to serve. After the hot dogs are evenly cooked, you can lower the temperature to hold the dogs until they are ready to be served. At this time, buns can also be added to ensure warm buns that will not get soggy. All of the hot dog steamer models offered have colorful displays to attract attention and promote impulse buys. All steamers have large water reservoirs to eliminate the need to frequently add water. All of the hot dog steamers offered through KaTom are provided by our top of the line manufacturers Roundup, Star, and Nemco. We stock all Star products and usually ship them either the same or next day. Roundup and Nemco products will ship within 5-10 business days of the order date.

Hot Dog Holding Capacity

Hot dog steamers are available with six different hot dog holding capacities to meet the needs of nearly any sized business. You can choose from units which hold 33 seven inch hot dogs, 66 seven inch hot dogs, 150 ten count dogs, or 130, 170, or 230 standard sized hot dogs.

Hot Dog Bun Holding Capacity

Commercial hot dog steamers have bun holding capabilities that vary depending on the volume of sells your business makes. You can choose from units with no bun storage area, or 18, 24, 30, or 36 standard buns.

Low Water Warning

Hot dog steamers are available with two different low water warning systems to make maintenance quick and easy. Hot dog makers with either automatic shut off or a lighted indicator light are available. Steamers with automatic shut off have a high limit thermostat that will turn off the entire unit if it runs out of water, conserving energy and reducing the risk of unit burnout.

Steamers with a lighted low water indicator simply light up the indicator when the water reservoir reaches a certain preset level and needs additional water.
