Hobart N50 Mixer
The right Hobart mixer for: Low-volume or space-constrained commercial kitchens, or for busier operations that need a supplemental mixer.
The Hobart N50 Mixer is the company's smallest available commercial mixer. With a 5-quart capacity bowl, it can handle roughly three pounds of mashed potatoes, two pounds of icing or fondant, or four pounds of bread dough. This Hobart stand mixer packs a lot of power and durability into a countertop frame, thanks to a 1⁄6-HP fixed-speed motor that relies on a gear-driven transmission to provide consistency and minimum downtime.
The N50 mixer has three speeds - low, intermediate, and high - that are controlled by a simple lever located next to the power switch, which is intentionally oversized for ease of operation. Another convenient lever allows the user to raise and lower the bowl, ensuring the right mix all the way down to the bottom. This stand mixer also has a No. 10 taper attachment hub on the front for attaching compatible mixer accessories, which are sold separately.
Standard accessories: 5-quart stainless steel bowl, "B" flat beater, "D" wire whip, "ED" dough hook, and a cord with plug.
Legacy Countertop Mixers
The right Hobart mixer for: Commercial kitchens that don't have room for a floor model but require a larger capacity than the Hobart N50 Mixer can provide.
The folks at Hobart say this planetary mixer, the first of its kind on the market, revolutionized the industry. The Legacy stand mixer is the only unit of its kind, with a swing-out bowl that makes adding ingredients and swapping bowls much easier. An ergonomic lift handle lets the user effortlessly lift and lower the bowl, while Shift-on-the-Fly and soft-start agitation technology let operators transition smoothly between the mixer's four available speeds, which are stir, low, intermediate, and high.
This Hobart stand mixer is engineered with a 1⁄2-HP motor and gear transmission that provides reliable and consistent performance. A 15-minute timer, automatic time recall, and quick-release agitators make mixing and clean-up a simple process, while a standard No. 12 taper attachment hub powers compatible accessories to expand the mixer's functionality.
The Legacy countertop mixer is available in two models: the HL120, which has a 12-quart capacity, and the HL200, which has a 20-quart capacity. Also available is the HL200C, built specifically for correctional institutions with a welded-on bowl guard, locked controls, and other tamper-resistant safety features.
HL120 standard accessories: 12-quart stainless steel bowl, "B" beater, "D" wire whip, cord and plug.
HL200 standard accessories: 20-quart stainless steel bowl, "B" beater, "D" wire whip, cord and plug.
Legacy Floor Mixers
The right Hobart mixer for: High-volume commercial kitchens that handle large batches of ingredients at one time.
These floor model mixers range in capacity from 30 to 140 quarts, offering heavy-duty performance for operations that mix large quantities of product at one time. Each model comes with Shift-on-the-Fly technology, which allows you to change speeds while the mixer is running, and soft-start agitation technology that ensures smooth transitions between speeds to minimize mess. The Legacy floor mixers also have large controls and start-stop push buttons that make operation easy, as well as a No. 12 taper attachment hub that can be used with compatible attachments. These models feature Hobart's exclusive swing-out bowls, which allows for easy addition of ingredients and removal of the final product, and a single-point bowl installation.

Legacy HL662 Hobart Pizza Mixer
The right Hobart mixer for: Commercial kitchens that need to produce large quantities of pizza dough or fresh bread.
The Legacy HL662 pizza mixer has a 60-quart capacity and 27⁄10-HP motor with gear transmission that provides heavy-duty performance for commercial kitchens producing large quantities of dough. For easy operation, this Hobart pizza mixer is equipped with single-point bowl installation, an exclusive swing-out design, and power bowl lift.
The Legacy HL662 pizza mixer comes with two speed settings for thorough kneading and consistent results. A 50-minute timer with automatic time recall remembers how long the mixer last ran at each speed. These models also feature Shift-on-the-Fly technology, which allows the operator to smoothly change speeds while the mixer is in use, and soft-start agitation technology that ensures a soft transition and prevents product loss when starting the mixer and changing speeds.
HL662 standard accessories: 60-quart stainless steel bowl, "ED" dough hook, cord and plug.
Hobart Spiral Mixer
The right Hobart mixer for: Commercial kitchens that need to prepare high-volume quantities of dough.
Available in 180-, 220-, 300-, and 350-pound capacities, Hobart spiral mixers are engineered specifically to meet the needs of high-volume bakeries, pizzerias, and commissaries. They are designed with a spinning dough hook and rotating bowl that prevent air from getting into the mixture, which provides better dough. Two agitator speeds and dual 20-minute timers, which allows operators to set the mixer for automatic shifting between speeds, provide further precision and consistency.
The spiral mixer's bowl drive, which rides on ball bearings for durability and support, is reversible, which makes it easy to fully incorporate new ingredients or mix small batches. For operator safety, the bowl is accompanied by a wireform bowl guard with an interlock that must be down before the spiral arm will operate. Each mixer is also mounted on rear and front casters that allow it to be easily moved for cleaning or maintenance needs.
To provide reliable performance, each of these dough mixers is equipped with a heavy-duty motor. Depending on the model chosen, the spiral arm motor achieves between 24⁄5 and 5 HP for the first speed and between 51⁄10 and 8 HP for the second speed. The bowl motor reaches to between 1⁄2 and 1 HP.
