What is Libbey DuraTuff?
Libbey DuraTuff is a heat treatment applied to the upper portion of certain glasses. This treatment increases glass's resistance to thermal and mechanical shock, and, while this doesn't mean that the glass will never break, it does change how the glass breaks. If a DuraTuff-treated glass is dropped, it will break into large pieces instead of shattering, which helps protect nearby food items, drinks, and ice bins from small pieces of broken glass.
What type of Libbey wine glass do I need?
Libbey makes a wide range of wine glasses, so you can find specific glasses for different types of wine if it is an important part of your restaurant's beverage service. Balloon-style glasses are generally preferred for serving red wine, while white wine glasses have more of a teardrop shape.
