Butcher Knife

Designed for cutting and trimming cuts of beef, lamb, chicken and other meats, butcher knives typically have a heavy, wide, curved blade with a smooth edge and pointed tip. Other varieties of this knife include cimeter, or simitar, skinning and poultry styles for specific butchering tasks or carving knives for front-of-the-house tasks like cutting roast beef or turkey breasts in front of customers. Blades are made from materials such as carbon and stainless steels with handles made from polypropylene, wood, or nylon.
