Low Country Boil Recipe

Shrimp BoilIngredients

  • 1 tbsp. sefood seasoning (Old Bay®), or to taste
  • 2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 5 lb. of new potatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 packages of smoked sausage or kielbasa, cut into 1-2 in. pieces
  • 5 lb. crab legs
  • 7-8 ears of corn with silks/husk removed, halved
  • 4 lb. shrimp, deveined and peeled


Heat stock pot over medium high heat and add in seafood seasoning and bring to a boil. Add in the potatoes and sausage and cook for about 10 minutes. Add in the corn and crab, cook for another 5 minutes. Finally, add the shrimp and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Drain off the water in a colander and serve on a table covered with newspaper, or on a large serving dish.
