Pecan Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

2 Pecan Cinnamon RollsIngredients for Dough

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups flour

Ingredients for Filling

  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Ingredients for Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream


To begin, heat the milk, butter, and sugar in a microwave until it reaches 120 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and then slowly spoon the yeast into the flour. Then combine warm mixture, egg, and flour. Beat for 3 minutes.

Continue adding flour until dough is soft. Cover a surface with flour. Knead dough on prepared surface for 3 to 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a bowl and cover. Allow the dough to rest for 20 minutes in a warm place.

While the dough is resting, combine born sugar, cinnamon, scraped vanilla bean paste, and chopped pecans. Set aside.

Re-flour surface. Roll the dough out into a rectangular shape, around 15X10 inches. Spread 1/4 butter across the surface of the dough and then spread the brown sugar mixture over the top.

Beginning from the long end, roll the dough into a tight cylinder. Slice the cylinder into 15-21 even slices. Place the slices onto a greased 9X13 inch baking pan.

Cover and refrigerate prepared rolls. In the morning, remove pan from refrigerator and allow to stand for 30-4o minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F then bake for 20-25 minutes
