On May 5, Chef Supplies by KaTom will host Michelle Bacon. She will be conducting a Cinco de Mayo cooking class! Michelle is a self taught chef with over 30 years experience creating healthier versions of popular Mexican dishes. “I worked in one of the largest Mexican restaurants in San Diego and travelled through Mexico for 15 years learning all about Mexican cuisine. I like to take traditional Mexican dishes/flavors and and turn them into healthful updated versions that can be easily replicated by anyone.”

• Tilapia loin fish wraps – grilled tilapia loins, seasoned with a Southwestern flair, nestled in a warm low carb flour tortilla filled with a mix of shredded, crispy lettuce and cabbage and finished with a drizzle of low fat chipotle lime dressing.
• Mexican chopped salad – vibrant and healthy mix of fresh corn, red peppers, red onion, English cucumber, black beans and cilantro all tossed with a light and bright honey vinaigrette that has a touch of cumin.
