Crown Steam SCX-2-6 (6) Pan / (1) Kettle Convection Steamer - Cabinet, Steam Coil

The Crown SCX-2-6 convection steamer and steam kettle has a cabinet base with a steam coil boiler, hot water faucet and sink. Eliminating the need for buckets, the faucet conveniently provides water at the unit, and it can be used to add water directly to the kettle or rinse tools in the sink. To create food-safe steam, the base's steam coil boiler uses steam and water from an external source. Hot steam from the connection flows through coils, heats up the surrounding water, and turns the water into steam. This design is helpful in locations where there is a boiler, though its steam is not suitable for cooking food.

This Crown SCX-2-6 convection steamer and kettle can accommodate 6 gallons of product in the kettle and six pans of product in its steamer. Full-size pans of various sizes can slide onto supports in the steamer, as steam circulates around the interior to create moist, cooked dishes. A gasket seal along the door's perimeter prevents the steam from escaping, and the door shuts in heat with its lock-and-seal design. Each of the two steamer sections has its own status lights and 60-minute timer. When a cook cycle ends, the time-up alarms alert users, so they can promptly remove food from the interior.
