Southbend KDCT-6 Description
The Southbend KDCT-6 direct steam kettle has a 6-gallon capacity, so it is ideal for cooking large amounts of sauces, soups, and stews. It is constructed of rust-resistant stainless steel and jacketed around two-thirds of the lower body. So it can withstand acidic products without corroding, its kettle liner is made of 316 stainless steel.
For even heat distribution, the kettle's bottom has a hemispheric design. It uses direct steam from an external source, and the steam supply, as well as the condensate return pipe, is concealed within the tubular legs. For convenient access, a steam control valve is mounted on the right leg, and using the tilt mechanism bearings, users can tilt the kettle past 90 degrees. This angled tilt works well for pouring contents into separate containers or for providing cleaning access to the interior. For convenience, the Crown DC-6 direct steam kettle's tilt handle can be installed on the left of right.
