The Wusthof 4175-7 santoku knife is 7 inches long and part of the Grand Prix II series. The polypropylene handle is ergonomic, allowing the user to firmly grip the handle. The entire blade is made of a single piece of high carbon steel that resists staining. Since this knife is a santoku, it has a thinner blade than other knife types, making it ideal for slicing, dicing, and mincing; it is not ideal for chopping since the blade is so thin. The Wusthof 4175-7 santoku knife has a hollow edge with vertical indentions along the blade that create air pockets that reduce friction and drag when slicing meat and vegetables.
